All of our makers are members of the Craft Potters Association and each of them have a story to tell.

Jaeeun Kim

Jaeeun Kim is a South Korean ceramic artist working in London. She began her artistic career in ceramics and art therapy. After earning a Masters degree in Ceramic Art from Kyunghee University in South Korea, she worked as a ceramic artist, university lecturer, and art therapist for disabled children.

Marcio Mattos

Marcio Mattos became fascinated with clay after seeing an exhibition of tea ceremony bowls at the V&A museum many years ago. He went on to train at Richmond College and later for a degree at Goldsmiths College. He presently creates one-off sculptural vessels and plaques in black stoneware and porcelain paper clay with dry-glazed textural surfaces and brushed decoration.

Sophie Cook

Sophie Cook creates delicate porcelain vessels that marry the elements of colour and form. Graduating in 1997 from Camberwell School of Arts, her work can now be found in collections across the world and in 2002 she was awarded the Adrian Sassoon Award of the Kiln at Chelsea Crafts Fair.

Kate Schuricht

Kate studied 3D Design at the University of Brighton. After graduating, she participated in an international ceramic residency in Japan where she worked alongside established Japanese, Korean, and American artists. On her return, Kate set up her ceramic studio in London where she worked for nearly ten years. She now works from her garden studio in Kent making raku and stoneware pieces.

Sara Dodd

Sara Dodd is a Welsh ceramic artist living and working in North London. Training at Cardiff Metropolitan University, Sara graduated in 2013 with a BA(Hons) in Ceramics. Sara is interested in sky and landscapes often referencing the regions of South Wales where she grew up. Sara has recently begun exploring the passage of time in relation to these ideas and locations.
